What changed
Before
PERCUP managed inventory manually via Excel uploads or weekly brand updates. Stock levels on the platform were always a few days behind reality, creating a gap between what was available and what was being sold.
After
For Direct from Roastery brands using the PERCUP Shopify app, your live Shopify stock is now synced to PERCUP automatically and in real time. What you have in your store is exactly what PERCUP lists for sale.
Why manual updates were a problem
Stale stock data
Weekly updates meant PERCUP was often selling stock that had already been sold elsewhere, leading to fulfilment failures.
Overselling risk
Without real time stock data, PERCUP continued accepting orders for items brands had already run out of, causing cancellations and poor customer experience.
Manual error
Spreadsheet-based updates introduced human error — wrong quantities, missed products, and outdated entries caused persistent stock discrepancies.
Operational overhead
Both brand teams and PERCUP staff spent significant time each week manually reconciling and uploading inventory data instead of focusing on growth.
How it works

Set your product status to Auto-Sync
In your Inventory page, click the status dropdown on any product and select Auto-Sync. This tells PERCUP to mirror your Shopify stock level for that product in real time.

Your live stock syncs automatically
From that point forward, every stock change in your Shopify store reflects on PERCUP instantly. A sale on your store reduces PERCUP stock. A restock on your end increases it. No uploads needed.

Stop the sync any time
To pause inventory sync for a product, simply change its status from Auto-Sync to Active, Draft, or Unlisted. The sync stops immediately and PERCUP will hold the last known stock level until you update it manually.

Live Inventory Sync currently supports Shopify via the PERCUP app. We are actively working on expanding this to WooCommerce, Magento, and custom API connections. Stay tuned for updates in future releases.
